Lisa Nora is a Dutch-born, UK-based singer-songwriter blending indie-folk and Americana with country influences. Inspired by the likes of First Aid Kit, Kacey Musgraves and The Lumineers, she moved from the Netherlands to the UK at the age of 19 to pursue a career in music, starting a journey that continues to shape both her songwriting and her sound.Writing songs that feel like hand-written letters, Lisa explores themes of home, love, loss, belonging and the spaces in between. Her music is rooted in honest storytelling, drawing listeners into moments that feel both deeply personal and universally familiar.Lisa first established herself in the Netherlands, winning the national Art Rocks competition at Paradiso, Amsterdam, as well as a Buma Music Academy Award and the Open Podium competition at Rabotheater Hengelo. Her early career also saw her perform on national Dutch radio and television, including 3FM, NPO Radio 2, RTL Live and ZappLive.Since moving to the UK, Lisa has continued to build her music career, performing at festivals including The Great Escape/Alternative Escape and Victorious Festival, sharing line-ups with artists such as Lewis Capaldi and James Bay. Her music has also been championed by BBC Introducing, with ‘Run Away’, ‘Pockets of Gold’ and ‘Two Black Feathers’ all selected as Track of the Day on BBC Sussex & BBC Surrey.Before her father passed away in 2025, Lisa made him a promise that she would keep pursuing music. Having been her biggest supporter and a driving force behind her early career, his belief in her continues to shape the path she is taking now. That promise has become an important part of Lisa's return to writing, recording and performing.
